CHARLES S. OFFER

 

Charles S. Offer, financier, was born January 1, 1913, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Leland S. Offer and Rebecca (Goldberg) Offer.

Student at the University of Washington, 1932 and Southwestern University Law School, 1931-34.

Mr. Offer has been a partner in the Offer Holding Company, Los Angeles, California, since 1934; founded Budget Finance Plan, Inc., Hollywood, California, in 1937 and served as secretary from 1937 to 1945; president since 1945 of Budget Finance Plan, Inc. and all of its subsidiaries; president of Monarch Acceptance Corporation, Los Angeles, since 1938; president of Fire & Casualty Underwriters Agency since 1947.

Mr. Offer is active in various charitable organizations and is a contributor of articles in metropolitan papers. He is a member of Sigma Tau Fraternity; Hollywood Athletic Club and Elks Club.

One (sic) June 10, 1934, he married Evelyn Gainsley and has two children; Arlene and Charles S., Jr.
