FRANK ALBERT NANCE
Frank Albert Nance was appointed
Coroner of Los Angeles County in 1921 and has since made a most creditable and
commendable record in the office. He was
born at Galesburg, Illinois, May 25, 1875, a son of Benjamin F. and Neva
(Nicholson) Nance. His public school
education was supplemented by attendance at Pomona College of Claremont,
California. He came to California in
1887 and in 1911 was appointed deputy county auditor of Los Angeles County,
thus serving for a decade. In 1921 he
was made county coroner, the duties of which position he has discharged
throughout the intervening period of twelve years in a highly acceptable and
satisfactory manner. His office is Room
106 in the Hall of Justice at Los Angeles.
On the 4th of March,
1911, at Riverside, California, Mr. Nance was united in marriage to Miss Bessie
Marian Beaver. Their home is at 127
North Canyon in Monrovia. Fraternally
Mr. Nance is affiliated with the various Masonic bodies, including the Mystic
Shrine. He also has membership in the
Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the Los Angeles City Club and is highly
esteemed in social, fraternal and civic circles of the community.
