HAROLD C. MORTON

 

 

      Harold C. Morton, member of the well established law firm of Fredericks, Hanna & Morton of Los Angeles, specializes in trial of oil litigation, having made a special study of that branch of the law. He is a native son of the state of California, and was born in 1895 at Los Angeles. After completing his preparatory educational training in public grammar and high schools of that city he entered the University of Southern California and engaged in the study of law. He graduated from this institution with the degree of LL. B. as a member of the class of 1916. Mr. Morton stood at the head of his class with a scholastic average of 97.2 per cent, the highest record that has ever been attained in that institution.

      For a number of years, Mr. Morton engaged in the general practice of his profession individually. In 1927 he became a member of the well known law firm of Fredericks & Hanna, which later assumed the present form of Fredericks, Hanna & Morton. They engage in general civil practice, specializing in corporation, probate and financial matters, and are accorded a large clientele, being Counsel for many well known interests throughout the southwest.

      Mr. Morton holds membership in the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Associaion, as well as The Gables, Los Angeles Athletic Club, California Country Club, Rancho Golf Club and Los Angeles Tennis Club. In 1916 he married Dorothy F. Smith and they have four children, Barbara Jean, Margaret Stanwood, Lindley O. and Dorothy Virginia.
