HENRY S. MacKAY, JR.
Among the younger members of the California bar none is better known than Henry S. MacKay, Jr., member of the well known firm of Flint & MacKay, of Los Angeles. Thoroughly trained in the fundamentals of his profession, he has made steady progress in practice.
Mr. MacKay is a native of Massachusetts, and was born in 1891 at Longwood. After completing his preparatory educational training in public schools he attended the University of Virginia. He graduated in 1914, and the same year located at Los Angeles and was admitted to the California bar.
Shortly after, Mr. MacKay became associated in practice with the firm of Flint & Jutten, and five years later the present firm of Flint & MacKay was formed. They engage in general civil practice, specializing in corporation and banking law, and represent as Counsel such interests as the Evening Herald, Los Angeles-First National Trust & Savings Bank, Los Angeles Investment Company, Warner Brothers, Union Tool Company, Fairmont Hotel Company, Sun Oil Company, B. H. Dyas Corporation and others.
In addition to his legal practice Mr. MacKay has a number of business interests and is an officer of various corporations. He holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of California and Los Angeles County Bar Association, as well as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, California Club, University Club, Flintridge Country Club, Tuna Club, California Yacht Club, Newport Harbor Yacht Club and Montana Gun Club. In 1914 he married Katharine P. Flint and they have one child, Flint MacKay.
