ALFRED LEE LATHROP
Alfred Lee Lathrop, banker, was born in Appleton, Minnesota, May 9, 1883. He is the son of Judson Ebenezer and Berma Naomi Lathrop.
His preparatory education was obtained at Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, South Dakota.
Mr. Lathrop has been vice president and director of the Union Bank & Trust Company of Los Angeles since 1921, and vice president and director of Del Amo Estate Company since 1932.
He was president of Building Owners and Managers Association of Los Angeles from 1927 to 1929; president of California Bankers Association from 1935 to 1936; member of Executive Council of American Bankers Association from 1937 to 1940; chairman of Independent Bankers Association of 12th Federal Reserve District, 1940.
Member, director and treasurer of Los Angeles Downtown Business Men’s Association; president, Los Angeles Art Association; member, director and president of Friends of the Colleges at Claremont; member and president of Sons of the Revolution, State of California; member and regent, Los Angeles county Chapter of Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of California; member and governor, Order of Founders and Patriots of America in State of California; member and governor, Society of Colonial Wars (Los Angeles), and member Society of Descendants of the Colonial Clergy; director, Los Angeles Chapter, American National Red Cross; member of California Club and Los Angeles Athletic Club.
Mr. Lathrop married Barbara Mitchell June 28, 1928, and they have one son, Mitchell Lee.
