PEARL EBEN
KEELER
Judge Pearl Eben Keeler, senior member of the firm of Keeler, Fickert & French, of Los Angeles, has earned a most gratifying reputation for knowledge of the law and clarity of judgment. He is a native of the state of Ohio, and was born in 1868 at Galena. He received his early training in public schools of Iowa and Utah, and continued his studies at the State Normal School at Indiana, Pa., and at Boston University, which conferred on him the LL. B. degree in 1891.
For a number of years Judge Keeler practiced at Logan, Utah, serving as County Attorney of Cache County and as City Attorney of Logan. After moving to Los Angeles he became Judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles, later returning to private practice as senior member of the firm of Keeler, Fickert & French. They are Counsel for the Protective Building & Loan Association, Citizens Finance & Discount Corporation, The Seaside National Bank of Long Beach, Ford Alexander Corporation, Western Electric Refinery Corporation, Bevis Divide Mining Co., and Comstock Silver Mining Co.
Judge Keeler is a member of the American Bar Association, The State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association and Long Beach Bar Association, as well as the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, Automobile Club of Southern California, City Club, Fox Hills Country Club and the Masonic Club of Long Beach. He is also a member of Long Beach Chapter No. 327, F. & A. M.; Long Beach Chapter No. 84, Royal Arch Masons; Long Beach Commandery No. 40, Knights Templar, A. A. O. N. M. S.; Long Beach No. 10, Knights of Pythias; Al Borah Temple No. 75, D. O. K. K., Long Beach Pyramid No. 43, Ancient Egyptian Order of Sciots; and Long Beach Lodge No. 888, B. P. O. E. In 1894 he married Rose M. Goodwin, of Logan, Utah.
