ALLERTON HUBBELL JEFFRIES
ALLERTON HUBBELL JEFFRIES, president of Jeffries Banknote Company, was born August 28, 1905, in Los Angeles, California. The son of William Parrish and Lora (Hubbell) Jeffries. Student at the University of California (Berkeley), 1926.
Mr. Jeffries has spent his entire business career in association with the Jeffries Banknote Company, Los Angeles, California, starting in 1926 as a salesman; then vice president from 1932 to 1940 and president since 1940.
He is director, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce; director, Merchants and Manufacturers Association of Los Angeles; past president of Printing Industry Association of Los Angeles; Mason (Shriner); and a member and director of the Jonathan Club, Stock Exchange, Wilshire Country Club, and Bel-Air Club.
Mr. Jeffries married Louise Little on July 19, 1933, and they have three children: Jerome Allerton, Thomas Little and Judy Jane. The family home is in Los Angeles, California, at 314 Rimpau Boulevard.
