CHRISTOPHER FRANKLIN HOLLAND

Unrelaxing attention to the many details of practice, and the zeal with which he has devoted his energies to his profession, have constituted important elements in the success of Christopher F. Holland, senior member of the Los Angeles firm of Holland & Holland.

Mr. Holland is a native of Michigan and was born in 1861. He was 19 years old when he located in California. His early educational training was received in public schools of his native state, following which he attended Hastings College of Law, graduating in 1886 with the LL. B. degree.

He entered practice in California in San Diego, becoming associated with Judge John R. Aitken, under the firm name of Holland & Aitken. In 1890 the firm of Shaw & Holland was formed, his associate being Judge Victor E. Shaw. Upon the removal of Mr. Holland to Colorado this firm was dissolved. After about a year's absence he returned to Los Angeles, and formed a partnership with E. E. Powers, under the firm name of Powers & Holland.

Mr. Holland keeps thoroughly informed concerning the vital questions and issues of the day. In practice he is careful, thorough and painstaking in the preparation of his cases, and in presenting his cause before the courts shows strength and resourcefulness.

Mr. Holland's hobby is literature, and he is the author of "Poems for Wayfarers on the Path of Life." He holds membership in the State Bar of California and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
