HARRY LANDON HEFFNER
Harry Landon Heffner, who has been a prominent and successful representative of ranching interests in California and Arizona during the past four decades, maintains an office at 458 South Spring street in Los Angeles. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, February 10, 1874, a son of Robert Armstrong and Flora (Ramsey) Heffner. His education was acquired in the public schools of Los Angeles, California, where he was subsequently employed in the First National Bank from 1890 until 1893. In the latter year he became identified with ranching interests in the states of Arizona and California which have claimed his attention continuously to the present time. He is president of the Valley Irrigated Farms of Los Angeles, vice president of the Gates Investment Company of Los Angeles, a director of the German-American Savings Bank of Los Angeles, a director of the Chiricahua Ranches Company of Phoenix, Arizona, and of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
On the 2d of March, 1907, Mr. Heffner was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Sanborn, of Chicago, Illinois, and Tustin, California. They are the parents of four children, namely: Robert Armstrong, Landon Hyatt, Rufus Sanborn and Edith Ramsey. The family home is at 1243 Lorain road in San Marino, California.
Mr. Heffner gives his political support to the democratic party and is a Protestant in religious faith. Fraternally he is affiliated with the Masons, belonging to Golden West Commandery, Los Angeles, and to the Mystic Shrine, El Zaribah, Phoenix. He also has membership in the California Club of Los Angeles and the Country Club of San Gabriel.
