SAMUEL
THOMAS HAYWARD
Samuel Thomas Hayward, president of Hayward Lumber and Investment Company, was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, on February 22, 1893. He is the son of Charles A. and Ruby G. (White) Hayward.
His preparatory education was obtained at Occidental College and Stanford University.
Mr. Hayward, who is now president of the Hayward Lumber and Investment Company of Los Angeles, California, was formerly vice president of same. He is also president of Hayward Milling Co., Glendale, Oregon; and secretary of Ward Refrigerator & Manufacturing Co., 6501 South Alameda Street, Los Angeles 1, California.
He is a Republican; member of the Presbyterian Church; and is a member of the Valley Hunt Club of Pasadena, California, and Jonathan Club of Los Angeles.
Mr. Hayward married Andrea Kirkes on June 23, 1920. They have four children: Robert D., William C., Ruby Jane and Nancy M. The family home is at 1100 Church Street, Los Angeles 42, California.
