ALFRED M. GHORMLEY

 

Alfred M. Ghormley, assistant to the president and vice president of Carnation Company and president of Carnaco Equipment Company is the son of David M. and Alice (Irwin) Ghormley. He was born in Moscow, Idaho, on July 23, 1896.

From 1920 to 1929, Mr. Ghormley acted as manager of the Carnation Milk Farms at Carnation, Washington. He has been vice president and director of the Carnation Company at Los Angeles, California, since 1933; president of Carnaco Equipment Company since 1948; and assistant to the president of Carnation Company since 1951. He is also a member of the executive and finance committees of Carnation Company.

He is a director of Carnation Company, Albers Milling Company, Milk Industry Foundation, National Dairy Council, California Dairy Institute, California Dairy Council, chairman of the California Diary Industry Advisory Board, and a trustee of the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital.

He holds membership in the Bel Air Club and the Los Angeles Country Club.

Mr. Ghormley married Elizabeth MacLean on October 28, 1922. They have three children: David MacLean, Jean Elizabeth, and Mary Alice.
