JOHN D.
FREDERICKS, JR.
A place of prominence among the successful young lawyers of California is occupied by John D. Fredericks, Jr., member of the law firm of Fredericks, Hanna & Morton, of Los Angeles. He has been engaged in the practice of his profession for only a few years, but has amply demonstrated his thorough grounding in the principles of law as well as his splendid natural aptitude for that profession.
Mr. Fredericks, Jr., is a native son of the state of California, and was born in 1900 at Los Angeles. He received his preparatory educational training in public grammar and high schools of that city, then entered Stanford University and engaged in the study of law, graduating with the degree of LL. B. During the World war he served in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy, being on convoy duty for 22 months.
Upon his admission to the bar Mr. Fredericks, Jr., entered upon the practice of his profession in association with the firm of Frederick & Hanna, of which his father was senior member. He was admitted to partnership in 1927, when the firm assumed its present form of Fredericks, Hanna & Morton. They engage in general civil practice, specializing in corporation, probate and public utility matters, and are accorded an extensive clientele, being Counsel for numerous important industrial and financial interests throughout the west.
Mr. Fredericks, Jr., holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, as well as Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, and the California Club. In 1922 he married Elizabeth L. Watt and they have two children, John D. Fredericks III, and Mary Elizabeth.
