WILLIS HENRY DURST
WILLIS HENRY DURST, president and director of Wagenseller & Durst Securities Corporation, was born August 21, 192, in Monroe, Wisconsin; son of John Henry and Mary (Isely) Durst. His preparatory education was received at the University of Wisconsin.
Mr. Durst started his career in association with Banks, Huntley & Company, Los Angeles, California, in 1919 and continued with them until 1931. Now president and director of Wagenseller & Durst, Inc.; also president and director of Cooper Building, Inc., Merchants Exchange Building, Inc., Ninth and Alameda Company, Transportation Building Company; also director of Lawrence Warehouse Company, Lawrence Investment Corporation, Pacific Indoor Advertising Company, Pacific Outdoor Advertising Company, Service Properties, Inc.; also trustee of The Barlow Sanatorium Association.
During the First World War he served in the United States Army 1917 to 1918.
He holds membership in the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Bond, Valley Hunt, and Stock Exchange Clubs, of Los Angeles.
Mr. Durst married Marie Angele Beckman on November 4, 1933. Their home is in South Pasadena, California, at 202 Oaklawn Avenue.
