HARRY LIPPINCOTT DUNN

 

Harry Lippincott Dunn, attorney, was born in Santa Barbara, California, on February 24, 1894; son of Ebenezer P. and Margaret Ann (Robinson) Dunn.

After attending the public schools of Santa Barbara, California, he entered University of California, from which he graduated in 1915 with the A.B. degree. Studied law at Columbia Law School, 1915-16, and Harvard Law School, 1919-21; admitted to the New York Bar in 1922 and to the California State Bar in 1925.

Mr. Dunn was in practice of the law in New York City from 1922 to 1924 in association with the firm of Cravath, Henderson, Leffingwell & de Gersdorff (now Cravath, Swaine & Moore). Since 1924 he has been in practice in Los Angeles, California, in association with the firm of O’Melveny and Myers, becoming a member of the firm in 1927.

Director of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation; director of Pacific Press, Inc.; director and member of Executive Committee of Associated Telephone Company, Ltd. Mr. Dunn is active in Community Chest work and the American Red Cross.

Member of the Los Angeles Bar Association, State Bar of California, American Bar Association (member of various committees relating to corporation law); Phi Delta Theta Fraternity; Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce (member of various committies(sic); and the following clubs: California, Stock Exchange, Los Angeles (Los Angeles); Annandale Golf; Flintridge Riding and Valley Hunt (Pasadena, California).

Mr. Dunn married Louise Dodge Reding on February 7, 1925, and they have two children, Peter.Reding(sic), born in 1928, and Priscilla, born in 1929. Their home is in Pasadena, California, at 1360 Hillcrest Avenue.
