TERRELL
CROFT DRINKWATER
Terrell Croft Drinkwater, president of Western Airlines, Inc., is the son of Ray Lawrence
and Geraldine (Croft) Drinkwater. He was born July 15, 1908 in Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Drinkwater was a student at the University of Colorado, where he received the A.B. degree in 1930, the LL.B. degree in 1932 and the LL.M. degree in 1933.
From 1933 to 1942 he was in law practice in Denver, Colorado, specializing in aeronautical law. From 1942 to 1944 he served as executive vice president, director and general manager of the Continental Air Lines, Inc. From 1944 to 1947 he was vice president of the American Airlines, Inc. and also vice president and director of American Overseas Airlines, Inc., 1945-57. Since 1947 he has been president and director of Western Airlines, Inc.
Mr. Drinkwater was a member of the Colorado State Aeronautics Committee, 1948 to 1942; member of Air Transport Association of America, and member of board of directors of same from 1942 to 1944.
Member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association; Chi Psi and Phi Delta Phi Fraternities; University Club of New York; Burning Tree Club of Washington, D.C; Republican; and member of the Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Drinkwater married Helen Louise Kiddoo on September 5, 1933; children: Terrell Thomas and Dorsey Ann.
