ALBERT
CRUTCHER
A member of the California bar whose record reflects honor on the legal history of the state is Albert Crutcher, senior member of the well known law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, of Los Angeles, a man of high intellectual attainments. He is a native of Kentucky, and was born in 1860. He received his preparatory educational training in public grammar and high schools of his native state, then entered Louisville Law School, graduating with the LL. B. degree as a member of the class of 1881. He was admitted to the Kentucky bar the same year, but moved to Los Angeles shortly after.
As a result of his thorough grounding in the fundamental principles of law and his close attention to the demands of his profession, Mr. Crutcher long ago assumed a prominent place among the distinguished lawyers of California. The firm of which he is senior member is one of the oldest in the west and represents many important industrial and corporate interests, including the Los Angeles Railway, Southern California Edison Company, Baker Iron Works, Huntington Land & Improvement Company, Pacific Coast Company, Santa Catalina Island Company, Wilmington Transportation Company, Griffith Company, Central Manufacturing District, Inc., Associated Oil Company, and many of the largest bond houses in the west.
Mr. Crutcher holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, and Los Angeles County Bar Association, as well as the California Club, Jonathan Club, Los Angeles Country Club and various other organizations. In 1895 he married Kate Page and they are the parents of two children, John P. and Roberta Crutcher. In the field of corporation law Mr. Crutcher is one of the most noted authorities in the west, and the high standard which he set for himself in early life has won for him the deep respect of bench and bar alike.
