PAUL SHERMAN CROUCH
Paul Sherman Crouch, a rising young
attorney of Los Angeles, was born in Yuma, Arizona, November 1, 1902, a son of
Rev. J. A. and Cora (Sherman) Crouch, who removed to that state from Kansas. The father, a minister of the Methodist
Episcopal Church, served as chaplain of the Arizona State Penitentiary for
eight years, filled pastorates in several parts of Arizona and did splendid
work as a missionary to the Yuma Indians.
He is now living retired in Los Angeles, California.
Paul S. Crouch pursued his early
education in the public schools of Yuma, Arizona, completing the high school
course by graduation with the class of 1920.
He was next a student in the College of Liberal Arts of the University
of Southern California for two years and subsequently spent three years in the
law department of the same institution, which conferred upon him the degree of
LL. B. in 1925. Admitted to the
California bar in September, 1926, he has since practiced his chosen profession
in Los Angeles, where he is accorded a gratifying clientele in recognition of
his marked ability as advocate and counselor.
He has membership in the Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California
State and American Bar Associations.
In 1927 Mr. Crouch was united in
marriage to Miss Marian Urton, of Banning,
California, her parents being Martin and Alberta (Armstrong) Urton, natives of Iowa and Virginia, respectively. Mr. Crouch is a member of the Methodist
Episcopal Church, gives his political allegiance to the Republican Party and is
identified with the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Fishing is his favorite form of recreation.
