JOHN G. CLOCK

 

 

            JOHN G. CLOCK, lawyer, was born February 26, 1896, in Hampton, Iowa, the son of Henry A. and Susan M. Clock

            He attended the public grade and high schools in Hampton, Iowa, and high schools in San Bernardino and Long Beach, California.  He received his legal education at the University of Southern California, served in the United States Army in 1917 and 1918, and was admitted to the state bar of California in February, 1920.

            Mr. Clock commenced practice of the law in Long Beach, California, in association with his brother, Ralph H. Clock, and C. C. McWhinney, under the firm name of Clock, McWhinney & Clock, and is now a member of the firm of Clock, Waestman & Clock.

            He is a member of the State Bar of California (member of Board of Governors, 1945-1948, vice president 1948, and chairman of Unlawful Practice Committee 1949); Long Beach Bar Association (president 1943); Los Angeles County Bar Association (member of Board of Trustees 1939-1942); Delta Theta Phi fraternity; Southern California Golf Association (president 1946); California Golf Association (president 1950); Virginia Country Club (president 1950); and United States Golf Association (member of Executive Committee 1951).

            In the year 1922 Mr. Clock married Blanch Dorsett, and they have two daughters, Rosemary Sadler and Carolyn Clock.
