JOHN WELCH CARRIGAN
John Welch Carrigan
is a representative and successful attorney of Los Angeles, where he has been
continuously engaged in practice during the past twenty-eight years and
maintains an office in the Associated Realty Building at 510 West Sixth Street. He was born at Rush City, Minnesota, October
4, 1874, and acquired his education in the grammar and high schools of that
state. He came to California in 1898 and
his professional training was received at the University of Southern California,
from which institution he was graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Laws in
1905. The same year he was admitted to
the bar and began the practice of law in Los Angeles, where he has remained to
the present time and has been accorded a growing and gratifying clientele. He served as inheritance tax attorney for the
state of California for nine years and as industrial accident commissioner for
five years.
In 1899 Mr. Carrigan
was united in marriage to Miss Carrie J. Bartell and they are the parents of a
daughter, Juanita. The family residence
is at 616 Las Palmas Street in Los Angeles.
Mr. Carrigan has membership in the Lakeside
Country Club and the State Bar of California.
