ALBERT RONALD BUTTON

A. Ronald Button is a leading young attorney of Los Angeles County, with offices at 6331 Hollywood boulevard in Hollywood.  He was born in Plainview, Nebraska, August 29, 1903, a son of A. L. and Sue E. Button.  The parents of A. Ronald Button now reside at Long Beach California.

The public schools of Lincoln, Nebraska, afforded A. Ronald Button his early educational training.  He was a youth of twelve years when in 1915 he accompanied his parents on their removal to California, and in this state he attended high school at Long Beach.  Subsequently he entered Stanford University, from which he was graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts as a member of the class of 1925, while in the following year the same institution conferred upon him the Doctor of Laws degree.  In 1925 he had entered the Harvard University Law School, where he studied law for a year.  In the early part of 1927 he was admitted to the bar in Los Angeles and became associated with the law firm of Woodruff, Musick, Pinney & Hartke, with which he was connected until 1930.  He then came to Hollywood, where he at once became a leader in professional ranks as the president and founder of the Hollywood Bar Association, with which he is still identified as a member of the board of trustees.  His suite of offices in the Guaranty building of Hollywood is one of the most handsomely equipped in Los Angeles County.  He has developed an enviable clientele among the leading stars and people of the motion picture industry and has acted as counsel for a number of Hollywood celebrities.

On the 29th of August, 1931, at Riverside, California, Mr. Button was united in marriage to Miss Gladys McDonnell and to them has been born a boy, Albert Ronald Button, Jr.  They reside in an attractive home at 2263 Maraville drive.

Mr. Button is a stalwart republican in politics and in 1932 was a congressional candidate on the party ticket, winning third place among seventeen contestants.  He is one of the most popular clubmen of Southern California and in Masonry has attained the thirty-second degree of the Scottish Rite, and belongs, also, to the Knights Templar and the Shrine.  He is a member of the Delta Sigma Rho national debating fraternity; Delta Upsilon national social fraternity; Phi Alpha Delta national legal fraternity and many prominent social, golf and theatrical clubs of the state.
