WILLET HENRY BROWN

 

 

Willet Henry Brown, broadcasting executive, was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 28, 1905. The son of Joel E. and Gertrude (Ransom).

      His education was obtained at the Hitchcock Military Academy and the University of Southern California.

      Mr. Brown was assistant general manager of Ron Lee, Inc., from 1932 to 1933; executive vice president of Don Lee Broadcasting System, Hollywood, from 1933 to 1948; president of Thomas S. Lee Enterprises, Inc., and also Don Lee Broadcasting System since 1949; president of Pacific States Investment Corporation since 1948; treasurer of Don Lee Motors Corporation since 1948; director of the board of Mutual Broadcasting System, Inc. and of Organic Chemicals, Inc., of Pasadena, California. Mr. Brown is holder of television patents.

      He holds membership in the Los Angeles Yacht Club and the University Club.

      On September 29, 1948, Mr. Brown married Betty Jane Rhodes. He has three children by a previous marriage: Patricia, Michael and Peter.
