RAYMOND F. BODY

 

 

            Raymond F. Body is a well-known and successful attorney of Los Angeles, maintaining an office in Suite 1234 of the Western Pacific Building.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, January 15, 1891, a son of Frank F. and Mary E. Body.  His early education, acquired in the schools of his native city, was supplemented by a course at John Carroll University of Cleveland, Ohio, while subsequently he studied law at St. Louis University in Missouri.  His professional training was continued at Georgetown University of Washington, D. C., from which institution he was graduated with the degree of LL. B.  Admitted to the Ohio bar in 1915, he engaged in law practice in the Buckeye state for a decade and then in 1925 came to California and was admitted to practice here, having since followed his profession in the city of Los Angeles.  The careful regard evinced for the interests of his clients and an assiduous and unrelaxing attention to all the details of his cases, have brought him a large business and made him very successful in its conduct.  His name is on the membership rolls of the Oho State Bar Association, the California State Bar Association and the Los Angeles Bar Association.

            In 1918 Mr. Body was united in marriage to Miss Marie B. Liechti, a native of Pennsylvania, and they are now the parents of five children, namely:  Mary Ellen, Julia Marie, Alice Marie, Ann Frances and Paul Francis.  The last named was the first child baptized in the new church of St. Paul the Apostle in Westwood Hills.

            Mr. Body served in the World War with the Eighty-third Division from December, 1917, to February, 1919.  He is now a first lieutenant in the judge advocate’s department of the United States Army Reserve.  He has membership in the American Legion, also belongs to the Jonathan Club and fraternally is identified with the Knights of Columbus of the third degree and with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
