HARRY JOHN
BAUER
Harry John Bauer, attorney and corporation official, was born in Bunker Hill, Illinios (sic), on August 31, 1883. He is the son of Albert E. and Mary (Thompson) Bauer.
Student at the University of California in 1901; then studied law at the University of Southern California, receiving the LL.B. degree in 1909 (honorary LL.D. degree in 1943).
Mr. Bauer is chairman of the Board and director of Southern California Edison Company; president of Long Bay Corporation and the Spring Street Realty Company; director of the California Bank, Title Insurance and Trust Company, and Di Giorgio Fruit Corporation. Trustee of University of Southern California and also vice president; trustee of California Institute of Technology at Pasadena.
Member of Phi Delta Phi and Sigma Chi Fraternities and the following clubs: California, Annandale, Bohemian, Los Angeles Country, Pacific Union, Automobile of Southern California (president), and Newport Harbor Yacht.
Mr. Bauer married Mabel J. Hughes on September 18, 1909. They have one daughter, Dorothy Evelyn (Mrs. Burton Rawlins).
