My deceased
cousin, Julie (Wilkins) Koop is a Fortin descendent as follows:
~ daughter of Robert E Wilkins and Adele Julie FORTIN
~ Adele Julie FORTIN was the daughter of Damien FORTIN and May Hubbard
~ Damien FORTIN was the son of Victor Lazare FORTIN
and Julie Remillard
Julie had
no children and I believe her mother, Adele, may have been an only
child. Based on information found on an ancestry.com page ( http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~npmelton/sfbfor.htm), Damien was one of four, the other three being Octave, Mary
& Agnes.
Many of
Julie's personal paper have ended up with me. There is very little genealogical
information in terms of dates or family history but there are many wonderful
portraits taken in the late 1800's / early 1900 plus a couple of albums of
family photos. Not many are marked although there is one identified
as the four siblings, Damien, Octave, Mary, and Agnes plus another that is
Victor Lazare Fortin. I expect someone familiar
with this particular branch of the Fortin family might be able to identify many
of the pictures.
I am not a
Fortin descendent but feel fortunate to have many treasured old portraits
of my ancestors. I would really like to find a good home for the
Fortin pictures in my possession.
If there is
anyone who can help, it would be much appreciated.

FORTIN FAMILY PHOTO COLLECTION
~ Their Children - Marie Reine,
Damien Edmond, Agnes Julie, and Octave Victor.
My best
guess is that the photos were taken in about 1875. This is a guesstimate
based on information that Octave, the youngest child in the group photo was
born in 1873.
