First house at Gibson Ranch   Here's the original house that was on the property. The picture shows my great-great grandparents and their children.

Back Row l-r:  Thomas R. McKinnon, Berentje Schmidt McKinnon and Tom McKinnon.

Front row l-r: Catherine, Lizzie, Lena and Charles McKinnon.

The two standing back by the fence were not identified.

Second house at Gibson Ranch   When Thomas McKinnon left the ranch in 1940's a family by the name of McDonald bought the place and remodeled the house, this is the picture taken when it was finished.  Unfortunately neither house survives today.

Four Boys   This picture shows four boys from Elverta that joined the Army in WWI.  Unfortunately the only one identified is Charles McKinnon, son of Thomas and Berentje McKinnon.

Family Members 1920   This picture was taken in the 1920s.  It shows from left to right:  Pete, Violet Konitzer and their father Frank.  (They were big ranchers in Yolo County and owned considerable land just north of Mace Blvd.  They were connected to the McKinnon’s through marriage by Frank's wife and Thomas' mother.) The others are Lena, Thomas and Lizzie McKinnon.

Old Well   This is the old well on the Gibson Ranch.  Haven't been there in a while, but think it is still there.  Thomas and Berentje McKinnon are standing there.

Old Wash House    Picture taken in the early 1920s.  It shows the old wash house on the Gibson Ranch.  In front are my aunts, June and Helen Schultz.

Farmers In Elverta   This picture was taken at the Gibson Ranch, not sure the date, but sometime in the 1920s.  All farmers in the Elverta area picture  l - r (including those standing slightly behind) Frank Lacey, Tom McKinnon, Jr., Charles McKinnon, Jim Keithley, Will Keithley, Gus Lindron and Thomas McKinnon, Sr.

Fallen Tree   This shows the huge oak tree by the sheds that blew down in the 1938 windstorm.  Standing looking at the damage is my grandfather, J. W. Schultz.

Threshing Machine   Here are two pictures one of the men on the threshing machine. Don't know who the people are on the machine, Grandpa McKinnon always hired someone to do his threshing.

Turkey's On The Ranch   Here is a picture of the turkeys my Grandpa McKinnon raised at one time on the ranch. Must have been early on when he had the ranch because my Dad who was born in 1925 didn't remember turkeys.
