Franklin District Cemetery
Located on the corner of Hood-Franklin Road
and Franklin Blvd. in the town of Franklin, south
Sacramento County.
Transcribed
by Manuel Peters and Anita Schultz-Peters
Transcribers
notes are in brackets.
Some
of the headstones are in very bad shape and early records were not well
kept. In addition some of the bodies
were removed to Point Pleasant Cemetery when in was established in 1902. At the end of this transcription is a list
of persons whose obituary states they were buried in Franklin Cemetery but no
headstone exists.
The
following partial 15 rows are for the south section bordering Hood-Franklin
Road only. It covers about one-third of
the cemetery.
