TIMOTHY
E. COLVIN
Timothy
E. Colvin, president of Besler Corporation, was born
in Chicago, Illinois, on July 18, 1902; son of Charles A. and Grace (McNamara)
Colvin.
After receiving the A.B. degree from
Stanford University in 1924 he took a post-graduate course in electrical
engineering in 1925.
Mr. Colvin was branch manager for
Fruehauf Trailor Company at San Francisco,
California, from 1934 to 1939, then sales manager for same at Los Angeles,
California, from 1939 to 1940; executive engineer and vice president of Aireon Manufacturing Company, located at Burbank,
California, from 1941 to 1944; president of Aerco
Corporation, Los Angeles, from 1944 to 1947; has been president of Besler Corporation, Emeryville, California, since 1947; and
president Farmers Tool & Equipment Co., Oakland, California, since 1949.
Member of American Society of
Mechanical Engineers, serving as chairman of the Aviation Division on the
Pacific Coast 1945-47, also past member of the Executive Committee; Mason (32nd
degree Shriner); and member of the following clubs:
Jonathan and University (San Francisco).
Mr. Colvin married Anona Martin on April 5, 1946. He has one son, Christopher
Longstreet; one daughter, Kimberley Mae; and a stepson, Timothy Browning Layden.
