CECIL J. SEEVERS.--A native son of California, Cecil J. Seevers was born at San Jose, September 5, 1891.  His father Perry Seevers, was born at Des Moines, Iowa, where he was a nurseryman.  There he was married to Josephine Mulles, a native of Iowa.  They came to California and located in San Jose, where the husband was engaged as a nurseryman, later removing to Hamilton City, Glenn County, in 1898, where he has been engaged as a horticulturist; his wife died in 1893.  Four children were born to this worthy couple:  Eugene died in Butte City; Leland, has a garage in Butte City; Erlie Mabel is a trained nurse in San Francisco; and Cecil J., the youngest of the family.

Mr. Seevers is interested in horticulture and he owns twenty acres near Hamilton City, which he has improved and developed into a fine almond orchard.  Mr. Seevers was made a Mason in Table Mountain Lodge, No. 103, F. & A. M., at Cherokee.
