JOHN R. ROBINSON
JOHN R. ROBINSON.--A practicing
attorney of Chico, fast earning an enviable reputation for
himself in the courts of California, who started in life
with the valuable heritage of a pioneer name, is John R. Robertson, a native
son, who was born at Chico on
September 29, 1876. His father, John R. Robinson, Sr., is very properly
represented in the preceding sketch.
Educated
in the public schools, including the Oakland High
School, from which he was graduated in 1896, John Robinson
matriculated at the University of California,
and graduated from that institution in 1900, with the Bachelor of Letters
degree. Then he studied law for a year in the Hastings
Law College, now
the law department of the University
of California, at the same time
that he was in S. C. Denson's law office acquiring experience in the more
practical manner. In 1901, he went to Cambridge, Mass.,
and entered the law school
of Harvard University, and
graduated in 1904 with the degree of LL. B.
Upon
being admitted, in San Francisco, to practice at the California
bar, Mr. Robinson engaged in practice in the metropolis in association with S.
C. Denson. In February, 1914, he returned to his native town, and here opened
an office for general law practice; and in the few years since that time he has
built up a very desirable reputation; and in the few years since that time he
has built up a very desirable reputation, both for ability and for fidelity to
the interests of his patrons. How well he has succeeded is known to any one at
all familiar with the history of the town; and his success testifies to the
wisdom of his choice, both as to profession and as to a favorable field for
professional endeavor. Fraternally, he was made a Mason in Chico Lodge, No.
