EUGENE
EDGAR TREFETHEN, JR.
Eugene
Edgar Trefethen, Jr., executive vice president and
director of Henry J. Kaiser Company, was born in Oakland, California, on July
27, 1909; son of Eugene Edgar and Georgia (Carroll) Trefethen.
He received his A.B. at University
of California in 1930; then studied at Harvard School of Business
Administration for one year, 1931.
Mr. Trefethen
has been associated with Kaiser interests since 1926 and is now executive vice
president; other positions include: (primary aluminum, aluminum mill products);
executive vice president and director, Kaiser Steel Corp. (pig iron, steel
ingot, steel mill products); president and director, Kaiser Metal Products,
Inc. (aircraft parts, porcelain enameled products); executive vice president,
treasurer and director, Permanente Cement Co. (cement); vice president and
director, Kaiser Community Homes (homes building); vice president and director,
Henry J. Kaiser Construction Co. (heavy construction); vice president,
assistant secretary and director, Kaiser-Frazer Corp. (automobiles, aircraft);
vice president and trustee, The Permanente Foundation (hospitals).
Member of Chi Psi
Fraternity; and Athenian-Nile Club of Oakland, California.
Mr. Trefethen
married Catherine Ann Morgan on May 7, 1937, and has two children: Clara Jean
and John Vance. Their home is at 5 Sandringham Road,
Piedmont, California.
