LUDWIG
WILHELM STETTNER
Ludwig
Wilhelm Stettner, chairman and president of Victor
Equipment Company, was born in Lowensteinm, Germany,
September 1, 1887; the son of Wilhelm Ludwig and Wilhelmina (Sinzig) Stettner.
His early education was obtained in
a country school. Then at fourteen years of age he was apprenticed to a trade
school.
Mr.Stettner
organized the Victor Oxy-Acetylene Equipment Company and was, first,
superintendent, then chief engineer and vice president until 1928, at which time
he became president of Victor Welding Equipment Company. In 1931 the latter
company was reorganized to form the Victor Equipment Company, San Francisco,
California (merging with Kimball Krogh Pump Company), of which he serves as
chairman and president.
Mr. Stettner
married Martha Segar on March 27, 1915. Their home is at 179 Estates Drive,
Piedmont, California.
