CHARLES
HAROLD RAMSDEN
Charles
Harold Ramsden, president of Pacific Coast
Engineering Company, was born April 29, 1883, in Oakland, California; the son
of Charles Hamilton and Caroline A. (McEwen) Ramsden.
Graduated from the University of
California in 1908 with the degree of B.Sc.
Mr. Ramsden
was chief engineer for Western Pipe & Steel Company, San Francisco,
California, from 1910 to 1919; president of Steel Tank & Pipe Company
Berkeley, California, from 1919 to 1926. In 1928 he became vice president and
general manager of Pacific Coast Engineering
Company at Alameda, California, and has been president of same since 1940.
Member
of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, Alameda Chamber of Commerce, California
State Chamber of Commerce, and United States Chamber of Commerce. He is a
Republican; Protestant; and member of the Engineers Club of San Francisco;
Athenian-Nile Club, Athens Athletic Club and Claremont Country Club, all of
Oakland.
Mr.
Ramsden married Cecile W. Childs in October of 1912,
who died in 1933; children: Dorothy (Mrs. Coombs), Charles Dean, Helen (Mrs.
Wagner) and Scott Carlton. Married (second), 1936, Alice Voice, widow of
William R. Henderson.
