JAMES M.
POPPER
James M.
Popper, attorney, was born in San Francisco, California, on May 31, 1913. The
son of David Popper, deceased, and Fannie Popper. He graduated from University
of California in 1934 with the degree of A.B.--then obtained his legal
education at University of California, Boalt Hall of
Law, receiving his LL.B. degree in 1937 and was admitted to the California
State Bar, at San Francisco, in October of the same year.
Mr. Popper began practice of law in
the office of J. Oscar Goldstein Chico, California, 1937-39; practiced alone
from 1940 to 1944; member of the firm of Bernheim,
Popper and Sugarman, Richmond, California, 1944-46;
and has been a member of the firm of Popper and Burnstein,
Oakland, California, since 1946.
Member of the Oakland Chamber of
Commerce; Masonic Order (Shrine); Moose Lodge, Eagles; Alameda County Bar
Association; a member of the California Republican Assembly, and former member
of Alameda County Republican Central Committee.
Mr. Popper is unmarried. He resides
at 791 Kingston Avenue, Oakland, California.
