LLOYD A. LUNDSTROM

 

 

Lloyd A. Lundstrom, truck manufacturer, was born August 21, 1891, in San Francisco, California. He is the son of John A. and Anna (Kling) Lundstrom. A graduate of high school.

      Mr. Lundstrom is a manufacturer of heavy-duty motor trucks for on- and off-highway purposes, specialized custom-built trucks. His experience in the automotive industry dates back to 1913, when he had both motor car and motor truck experience with various leading companies, such as Packard, Reo, and General Motors, except for a two-year period from 1917 to 1919 when he was in the military service during the first World War. He became associated with the Fageol Company in 1932 and has remained in the present plant location since that time, Fageol Company going out of business and he organized the present Peterbilt Motors Company in 1940, and has continued since that date to the present time as president and general manager.

      He is a Republican; member of the Lutheran Church; Mason and Shriner; and belongs to the following clubs: Athens Athletic, and Monterey Peninsula Country; St. Francis and Oakland Yacht.

      Mr. Lundstrom married Aloyse Furlong on April 7, 1920. They have two children, Anna and Lloyd. Their home is in Oakland, California, at 120 Alpine Terrace.
