OLIVER
D. HAMLIN, JR.
O. D.
Hamlin, Jr., Judge of Superior Court, was born November 30, 1892, in Oakland,
California. He is the son of Dr. O. D. and Elizabeth C. (MacMahon)
Hamlin.
After his graduation from Oakland
(California) High School, he entered the University of California, from which
he graduated with the degree of B.L. in 1914 and was admitted to the California
State Bar in April of 1915.
From 1915 to 1920 Judge Hamlin
served as deputy district attorney of Alameda County California; member of the
Alameda County Civil Service Commission from 1927 to 1947; Committee of Bar
Examiners, 1938 to 1942; Board of Governors, State Bar of California, 1943 to
1946; president State Bar of California, 1945 to 1946; and has been Judge of
Superior Court of Alameda County, California, since 1947. Judge Hamlin was a
member of the firm of Donahue, Hynes and Hamlin, Oakland, California, 1920 to
1938, and of Donahue, Richards and Hamlin, 1938 to 1947.
He holds membership in the Alameda
County Bar Association; Phi Kappa Psi and Phi Delta Phi fraternities; and the
following clubs: Athenian-Nile (past president), Exchange Club of Oakland (past
president), Claremont Country and Bohemian (San Francisco).
Residence: 291 Lenox Avenue, Oakland, California.
