HERBERT
E. HALL
Herbert
E. Hall, attorney, was born November 5, 1893, in Sligo,
Maryland, the son of Frederic W. and Maud E. (Noyes) Hall.
His preliminary education was
obtained at Lincoln Grammar School (Oakland, California) and Phillips Exeter
Academy (Exeter, New Hampshire); his preparatory and legal education at the
University of California, from which he received an A.B. degree in 1916 and the
J.D. degree in 1920.
Mr. Hall was admitted to the
California Bar in September of 1920 and began law practice in San Francisco
with his father. Since November of 1922 he has been a member of the firm of
Calkins, Hall, Conard & Johnson. He has devoted
his entire time to general practice of the law.
Mr. Hall holds membership in the
State Bar of California, Bar Association of San Francisco, American Bar
Association; Bohemian Club, Claremont Country Club and Diablo Country Club. He
finds recreation in playing tennis and golf, also hunting.
In 1917 Mr. Hall was married to
Susan Jane Greenwood, and they are the parents of three children: Myra M., born
in 1918; David W., born in 1922; and George G., born in 1924. The family home
is at 67 King Avenue, Piedmont, California.
