ROBERT
KENNEDY CUTTER
Robert
Kennedy Cutter, president of Cutter Laboratories, was born in Fresno,
California, on May 23, 1898; son of Edward A. and Margaret (Kennedy) Cutter.
Received the degrees of B.A. and
M.A. from University of California; degree of M.D. cum laude from Yale
University in 1923; took graduate work in allergy, Cornell Division, New York
Hospital; interned at San Francisco; then in practice of medicine, specializing
in allergy, at Oakland, California.
Mr. Cutter was assistant medical
director of the Cutter Laboratories from 1926 to 1928, assistant to the
president from 1928 to 1933, executive vice president from 1933 to 1945, and
president since 1945, Oakland, California.
Mr. Cutter is the holder of various
patents on equipment in use of disposable syringes, mass intravenous injection,
and snake-bite treatment. Member of Delta Sigma Phi and Nu
Sigma Nu Fraternities.
