GORDON GRAY

Gordon Gray, of San Diego, is recognized as a factor of importance in the legal circles of that city, having amply demonstrated his ability in many important cases. His success is due not only to innate ability and persistent effort, but also to a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of law.

Mr. Gray is a native of the state of Michigan, and was born in 1878 in Berrien County. After receiving his early training in public schools he entered Harvard University, which conferred on him the A. B. degree in 1901. His legal training was obtained at the law school of the same institution, from which he graduated with the LL. B. degree as a member of the class of 1903. He was admitted to the Illinois bar that same year.

After practicing in Illinois for a number of years, Mr. Gray moved to California and located at San Diego. He has since engaged in general civil practice in that city, specializing in corporation, probate and real estate law. He is Counsel for a number of well known interests, including the Bank of Italy, San Diego State Bank, Market Street State Bank, West Coast Theatres Inc., Bay City Building & Loan Association, Ryan Aeoronautical Corporation, San Diego Marine Construction Company, and others.

Mr. Gray holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of California and San Diego Bar Association, which he has served as President. He is also a member of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, University Club, Cuyamaca Club, and San Diego Athletic Club. In 1921 he married Frieda Foote.
