HONORABLE CLARENCE HARDEN

 

 

            Clarence Harden was born in North Platte, Nebraska, on July 13, 1887; son of William Henry and Catherine Lorena (Bicknell).

            He was admitted to the bar in California in January, 1913; served as deputy district attorney of San Diego County, 1913-14 and in 1919; was in private practice 1915-16 and part of 1917; was member of firms:  Sample & Harden, 1920-27; Harden & Green, 1927-30; was Judge of the Superior Court, San Diego County, California, 1930-38; and resumed practice in January, 1938.  Thereafter associated with the following firms:  Wright, Monroe & Harden, 1938-40; Harden, Hervey & Holt, 1940-41; has practiced alone since 1941.

            Member of San Diego Bar Association (president, 1924), State Bar of California, and American Bar Association.  Also member of University and San Diego Clubs.  Belongs to several lodges:  Silvergate No. 296 F. & A. M.; San Diego Conclave No. 62, Red Cross of Constantine; Al Bahr Temple, AAONM Shrine of San Diego (past pontentate).

            Married Sarah C. Fitzpatrick in 1918.  They have one daughter, Shirley, born in 1921.

            Residence:  5318 Canterbury Drive, San Diego, California.
